We are dedicated to helping you evolve to the next level of personal and professional performance through learning. To create novel learning experiences, we use a customized blend of mentor modeling, facilitation, and instruction/coaching. You can expect to receive high-quality feedback that will enable you to focus and coordinate your strengths and those of your work team in order to generate meaningful results.
To learn more about how we use mentor modeling in the workplace to add value, please view this short two-part video. The Peripheral I.V. project is being developed on "spec" and out of a sincere desire to use our talents to ease the pain of nurses and patients everywhere. We plan to update you on the project from its inception, through development, implementation, and results.
A big thanks to our peripheral I.V. project partner and mentor, Roger Cleaveland, RN. Roger has served as the subject matter expert and "exemplar" for this project and his been working diligently for many months outside his already demanding work schedule to help us create practical instruction that delivers the kind of wisdom that can only come from a 40-year health care veteran who is continuously learning and is still curious and passionate about his work.
A special thanks to Elizabeth Williams for contributing her close-up photographs.

Exemplar's Ability: Roger is able to painlessly start peripheral I.V.s for patients who are considered "difficult sticks" with a 98% success rate.
Problem: In our experience with several hospitals and clinics, the success rate is much lower (30-60%) and poor pain management, improper I.V. placement, improper sterile technique, and inconsistently maintained I.V.s are the norm.
Solution: Create awareness of the problem (without blame), take measurements, show how exemplar is creating results within the context, facilitate solution-finding sessions to develop organization-appropriate interventions -- instruction, job aids, etc.
Dr. David Van Nuys, host of the popular psychology podcasts Shrink Rap Radio and The Wise Counsel Podcast, recently interviewed me, Tom Carroll, about the use of modeling in corporate training settings. Dr. Dave is a personal hero of mine, so this is a huge honor; it's probably on the scale of being interviewed by Oprah or David Letterman for most people. If you'd like to give it a listen, it's show #233
One way to instantly boost your personal learning and insight is to subscribe to both of David's great shows: Shrink Rap Radio and The Wise Counsel Podcast. Enjoy!
